productive

i believe i was very productive today.

woke up at 8am and had breakfast, then went back to my room to sort out my closet.

first things first, i started putting some of my winter stuff away...although winter isn't really over yet (it's still cold and they say it'll be cold til september/october), but i don't care, i'm excited to get rid of some of my winter clothes so i did. i only kept a few turtlenecks and knitted shirts that i wear to work and the rest, they were put in storage. really can't wait for spring to come.

the second phase of my sorting out was putting all my pasalubong for my phils trip in a box. i've been accumulating clothes and toys in preparation for my trip back home so i decided to make an inventory to know what i had brought (and for whom it'll be) already. and one of the things i found are the wedding bears i bought a month ago:
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

aren't they cute? i love them! we're gonna use them for pictorials during our on the day wedding preps at the hotel.

third phase was getting some of my stuff ready for my phils trip (oh ha? di naman ako excited nyan diba? hehehe) other than pasalubongs, i've also accumulated a couple of clothes for my vaycay in the phils. looking through my stuff, i got a dress for our rehearsal dinner, bathing suits for my bora and bohol honeymoon, and a couple of shirts i got during sale season here.

it's really good that i got to do this today so as not to make stupid buys later especially when there are alot of stuff on sale in malls. it's really tempting. i have to remember that i shouldn't bring too much stuff from here and that it's better to go shopping in manila...at least, manila's more fashionable (although there are good ones here too--but they are sooo expensive) and clothes and shoes are cheaper.

after my sorting out galore (whatta a gay phrase! hehehe), i scanned my photos for our wedding AVP. yay! finally i was able to do it! it took me three hours to finish all the photos that i want scanned. looking at old photos was like a trip down to memory lane. have tons of photos and in almost all of them, i was smiling (o talagang mahilig lang akong mag-pose kahit bata pa?). it made me realized that i had a very happy childhood and i have my parents to thank for that. ayan, na-miss ko tuloy sila :(

anyway, here's one of my favorite photos during my childhood:

that's me on my 3rd birthday...i have tons of photos of me blowing the candles on my cake---from 1 - 13 years old, i have a photo of me with my birthday cake. that's why my birthday will never be complete without a birthday cake. i remember when i turned 28 last year, no one bothered to buy me a cake on my birthday, i was so sad the following day and i even told my workmates about it. so a week after, my workmates surprised me with a big birthday cake. oh well, better late than never.

next year, it's gonna be different. two days before my birthday, i'll be cutting a five-layer cake with my chris as a celebration of us being husband and wife...and on my birthday, i'll be mrs. avigail/ivy/ibyang sanchez!

okay, stop it...i'm rambling now.

going back to my productive day...after scanning, i cooked sinigang for our dinner which turned out alright. by the way, last night, i cooked spaghetti for dinner which turned out okay too.

and now that dinner is over, i'm just here blogging. after this, i'm gonna read "cana is forever", a book on counsels before and after marriage. it's really a good read for people who are engaged and for those already married. it talks about marriage being a career and all other stuff really insightful about marriage. if you want a copy, you may download here.

so there, an account of my productive day. hope you had a productive day too.

nighty-night!
